The Alberta Refederation Association is a new centrist political organization founded in November 2009. Our goal is to bring about real democracy through real change. We are not a status quo organization and we are not the same old politics of yesterday. With your support we will build the Alberta Refederation Party, a different but viable alternative to the system that holds us hostage to politicians and bureaucrats, not only in this province but across Canada.

Our immediate aim is to become a legal party in the province, and then seek citizen input into a 10 point policy platform designed to lead Alberta into a new era by using people power.

ABRefed has its roots in the BC Refederation Party established in 2001 on Vancouver Island. While our site is under construction, all viewers can access the BC Refederation Party Website for background information and the extensive research that underpins the same message for both provinces. The 'refed' message is based on the immensely successful Swiss model - a model that ranks that country in the top 4 of economic success and, the #1 country using a republican model with direct democracy.
